Shipping policy
HOW ORDERS ARE SHIPPED
We offer USPS and UPS for deliveries in the continental US, and DHL for international shipping. All shipping is automatically scheduled with USPS except overnight deliveries. Overnight deliveries are shipped via UPS.
After shipments have left the ValAsta facility and transferred to the shipper, Shangri-la LifeĀ is not liable for the delivery timing. You can track your order. The tracking number will be emailed (if an email address is provided) to you when it has shipped. Please check your SPAM/JUNK folder if you have not received the tracking number in the shipping email.
SHIPPING METHODS
During checkout, you will see available delivery options for you to specify.All orders are shipped Monday through Friday. During warmer months, mid-April to mid-November, our shipping schedule will change due to the perishable nature of our chocolate. See Warm Weather Shipping.
Orders placed after 11AM will ship the following business day.

UPS - OVERNIGHT SHIPPING
No Saturday or Sunday deliveries are available. All states are eligible for Overnight shipping.
WARM WEATHER SHIPPING
During warm weather, not all delivery options are available for our chocolate products. Due to the perishable nature of our chocolate, during the months of mid-April to mid-November, we ship only Priority Express or Overnight shipping to Florida, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arizona, New Mexico, California. All other states may choose Regular USPS Shipping at their own risk.
SHIPPING FEES
Shipping is calculated during checkout based on your shipping address and shipping method.
Shipping fees include additional packing material and ice packs for chocolate.
SHIPMENTS TO ALASKA, HAWAII
Only Second Day and Next Day delivery are available to addresses in Alaska and Hawaii.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
No Chocolate Shipments. We are only shipping ValAsta Oil products outside the US. There may be additional country tax & duty-related charges.
HOTEL OR HOSPITAL DELIVERIES
When shipping to a hotel or hospital, please verify discharge/checkout times and make necessary arrangements with the delivery location to ensure delivery to recipient's room.Ā Shangri-la LifeĀ is not responsible for packages misdirected after delivery.
DELIVERY
Once your order ships from our warehouse, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a USPS or UPS tracking number. Circumstances beyond our control make it impossible to guarantee delivery dates. To manage or track your shipment with USPS or UPS, please visit the USPS website or UPS website
AFTER YOUR CHOCOLATE PRODUCT ARRIVES
Keep chocolate tightly wrapped in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place at 60ā75°F. Not following these storage conditions will cause chocolate to "bloom," or develop a reddish-colored powdery surface on the chocolate, caused by sugar or fat crystals rising to the surface. When this happens, the chocolate is still safe to eat, but the texture will suffer. To prevent bloom, make sure the chocolate does not get too warm or experience extreme fluctuations in temperature.
MISDELIVERIES
Shipments returned due to an incorrect shipping address will require an additional charge for reshipment. We are not responsible for delays in delivery times due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
REFUSALS
Due to the delicate nature of our chocolate, under warm weather conditions we ship with ice packs, which protect the chocolate from heat damage until it is delivered. The life span of ice packs is limited, please accept all shipments and store in a cool, dry place. However, if shipments are refused, we cannot guarantee that the chocolate will not be damaged. If you find a package was damaged while in transit, communicate the damage to the USPS representative, please take photos of the package and call our office. We will gladly replace any damaged product.
RETURNS
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, simply contact customer service within 5 days of receiving your product for instructions on how to return your unopened order for a refund or have new product shipped to you. Our Customer Service Agents will be glad to assist you.
LOST PACKAGES
Your package must be missing for 10 business days after scheduled delivery date before a missing package can be filed.
